Welcome To Your New Website

Welcome to the website of the Australasian Telecommunications Fraud and Risk Association (ATFRA)

ATFRA was established to formalise the activities of individuals and groups concerned with fraud and security risk in the Australasian Telecommunications Industry.
This replaced an informal network, which originated when a group of fraud and security specialists from a number of Telecommunications companies recognised a need to mount an industry-based response to growing issues of fraud and network security.

ATFRA is made up of Carriers and resellers, and associate membership is extended to other interested parties.

ATFRA provides a recognised and unified focal point for the collation, analysis and dissemination of fraud and risk issues, in aid to help to minimise revenue losses to the Australasian telecommunications industry. Our mission is to ensure that Australasian Telecommunication carriers work together to mitigate fraud and risks that may be detrimental to the commercial interests of the industry and the interests of consumers. This activity is conducted in such a way that consumer interests in commercial competition are not compromised. The Association's activities are guided by current regulatory and privacy requirements.

The Association seeks to cooperate with any official body with an interest in preventing or investigating activities which pose a risk (including but not restricted to fraud and other criminal offences) to the legitimate business operations of entities represented by ATFRA members.
